Here are some ultrasounds of infiltrating ductal carcinoma.
Branch pattern extension, i.e. branching spreading of tumor at the margins of the main tumor. Microlobulations are also present.

This image shows a retroareolar ( 'behind the nipple' )infiltration in the upper left region, also shadowing in the lower regions. There are also extensions and microcalcifications.
Angular margin, and microcalcifications.The edges of the tumor are not nicely round, but have a sharp angle. The left side of the tumor has a fairly straight vertical side, and the top of the tumor has a straight but downward-slanting margin.
This image shows a curvilinear extension of the tumor, some spiculation, and a globular extension.
"Shadowing" refers to an ultrasound finding of 'shadows' cast on the normal breast tissue. 'Bright spots' block the ultrasound beam from passing deeper into the breast.
